A Flipped Workday is a Blended Working day that consists of “flipping” the focus of a typical workday from being only about getting your job done to instead also prioritizing your health-related activities. To put it in the simplest terms possible:
It's going from being a workday in which you struggle to find any time to take care of yourself, to being a day focused on taking better care of yourself in which you schedule time to get the work for your job done. The priority is getting the work for your job done, but the emphasis is on immersing yourself in activities that allow you to feel how you want to feel.
During a Flipped Workday you still get all of the work done for your job. But by stretching out your work hours and re-organizing your schedule into smaller, more focused work blocks, you're able to take time out of your workday to do things that you enjoy. These longer, more focused breaks not only benefit your physical and mental health, they can also help to break up your workload into more manageable chunks and minimize those unproductive "lulls" that typically happen during a regular workday.
One of the most effective ways to use these longer breaks is to spend time in Nature, so we've designed many of our workshops and adventures with this in mind.
We offer customized Flipped Work Workshops and our signature Flipped Workweek Retreats for groups and small businesses. These sessions are designed to allow participants to test out the concept of Flipped Working hands-on and learn how to design their own Flipped Workdays and Workweeks.
