Blended Working Benefits for Employers and Managers

We understand that there can be a certain degree of hesitancy from employers or managers when their employees work remotely or on a flexible schedule. From a risk/reward perspective, the risks (e.g., decline in job performance, availability issues, less work focus, etc.) seem high and the rewards or benefits to the employees are obvious. But it's less clear what an employer or a manager stands to gain by allowing their employee(s) to work remotely and/or on a flexible work schedule.

While the major purpose of Blending Work and Life is to improve the health and wellbeing of workers, one of the primary goals is to help employees become more efficient and effective at their job. More specifically, Blended Working:

  • Offers participants concrete strategies for organizing their workday in a way feels good to them AND allows them to work more effectively.
  • Teaches workers to pay closer attention to their normal energy and attentional patterns in order to design a daily schedule that takes the flow of their natural rhythms into account.
  • Teaches participants about the value of fully disconnecting from their work at certain points in their day in order to have renewed energy and focus when returning to work afterwards.
  • Creates an environment where a person's job and the rest of their life don't need to compete with each other during the workday, because time has been set aside for both.

Did You Know?

We offer a range of courses, workshops, and consultations designed to help employees figure out what works to help them feel better during the day, so that they can work better during the day.
