At Blended Working Adventures we're focused on helping people find a better flow to their work days. We believe that having a little bit of flexibility in terms of when and where you do work for your job creates the perfect opportunity to improve your physical and mental health. So we've developed hands-on learning experiences that teach you how to integrate this flexibility into a more fluid, fully-connected, healthy lifestyle. These Nature-based learning experiences offer the perfect complement to the office-based desk work that fills our workdays, making for a truly blended work experience.
The Flipped Work Day
Our workshops and adventures are built around the concept of a “Flipped Work Day”. A Flipped Work Day consists of “flipping” the focus of a typical work day from being primarily about getting your job done to instead prioritizing your health related activities. To put it in the simplest terms possible:
It's going from being a work day in which you try to find time to take care of yourself, to being a day focused on taking better care of yourself in which you schedule time to get the work for your job done.
During a Flipped Work Day you still get all of the work done for your job. But by slightly stretching out your work hours and re-organizing your schedule, you make time to take one or more longer breaks that are beneficial to your physical and mental health. These breaks also allow you to avoid the regular lulls in your focus and energy levels during your workday by instead using that time to do something for yourself.
We think the best way to use these breaks is to be active outdoors, so we've designed all of our workshops and adventures with this in mind. We offer a range of options, from easy hiking , biking, or paddling to challenging runs and epic rides on the local trails. You choose the activity and pace that's right for you. Regardless of what option(s) you choose, when you spend time being active outdoors you'll return you to your job afterwards with a renewed energy and focus - ready to get back to work.

You will remotely engage in your regular work duties while having the opportunity to experience two different Flipped Work Day schedules.
Guided outdoor activities will involve your choice of: nature walks, hiking, or trail running.
This Blended Working style training camp provides endurance sport athletes with a range of mental (psychological) skills that address the specific challenges associated with individual and team-based endurance sports.
Weekdays will include two physical training sessions (trail running and/or mountain biking) and an evening mental training
This Blended Working style training camp provides endurance sport athletes with a range of mental (psychological) skills that address the specific challenges associated with individual and team-based endurance sports.
Weekdays will include two physical training sessions (trail running and/or mountain biking) and an evening mental training session, while ensuring 7.5 hours of dedicated (remote) working time each day.
The training camp is divided into two parts (either of which can be taken on their own): Part 1 (Sunday to Wednesday) is focused on individual mental skills for endurance athletes. Part 2 (Wednesday evening to Sunday) is focused on teamwork and mental skills in a team environment.
These 7-day adventures are a step up from our 3-day workshops in terms of duration, outdoor activity options, and learning opportunities.
