Have you ever been sitting at home, thinking: “I’m so tired!”. But then you get an unexpected invitation from a friend to go do something fun and suddenly you have plenty of energy. Did this new found energy just magically appear? We often misinterpret our lack of focus or lack of interest in a situation as being fatigue. We feel tired, even though we aren’t doing anything that's actually physically or mentally demanding. Have you ever been in the opposite situation, where you are doing something that’s so interesting or intriguing to you that you completely lose track of time? You feel alive, awake, and full of energy, long after you would normally be tired if you were doing something else.
Most of the time we have plenty of energy, we just don’t have the right information to tap into it.
Our energy needs information in order for it to know what to do. Without any information, the energy inside us sits dormant, which makes us feel tired. But then it builds up with no place to go, often leaving us feeling fidgety, anxious, irritable, or distracted. Our energy can also have the "wrong" information, in the sense that it's unproductive or unhelpful at achieving whatever it is we are trying to do. For example, a negative emotional reaction to a situation may instantly energize us, but that energy can often be counterproductive or misdirected because our emotions are distorting our ability to properly inform our energy.
Energy that is well informed is energy that helps us do our work.
When we have the right information for our energy, the fit between the two creates a sort of “resonance” or harmony between what we feel on the inside and what we’re doing and/or experiencing on the outside. While most of us may experience this harmony from time to time, few have figured out how to make it happen on a regular basis.
Our workshops and adventures are about helping you to find the right information for your energy so that you can design your workdays to feel how you would like them to feel.
The process of finding the right information for your energy involves what we call moving from Wonder to Wellth.
